Heat-welded systems for photovoltaic flat roofs

Dome Solar, a specialist in photovoltaic mounting for large roofs, stands out from other photovoltaic players thanks to its innovative thermo-welded systems for flat roofs.

The advantage of these systems is to allow the fixing of photovoltaic panels on roof terrace without ballasting.
Two thermo-welding schemes depending on the type of membrane can be described:

  • Bitumen membrane by flame welding.
  • Synthetic membranes (PVC and TPO) by welding with hot air.

Each of them requires the intervention of a professional sealer.

In the case of a bituminous roof terrace

The system includes a set of rails: 1 rail and 2 retaining strips that are pre-mounted on the rail with 2 fins.

The 4 installation steps are:

  1. Grid on the roof thanks to a chalk or a laser on the basis of drawing provided by Dome Solar;
  2. Bold chalk marking of the precise location of the rails;
  3. Heats the glittering surface of the membrane so that the slate flakes remakes and repels in the bitumen;
  4. Positioning of the rail and welding of the two holding bands made with flame.

These 4 steps are a mandatory protocol for the proper installation of Roof-Solar Bitumen and tilted Roof-Solar Bitumen Systems.

In the case of a PVC or TPO synthetic roof terrace

The heat treatment of the entire rail is carried out with hot air.

The 4 steps of installation are:

  1. Grid on the roof thanks to a chalk or a laser on the basis of drawing provided by Dome Solar;
  2. Bold chalk marking of the precise location of the rails;
  3. Positioning of the rail and welding of the two holding strips in hot air;
  4. Pointing of reinforcing patches at the corner of the rails.

These 4 steps are a mandatory protocol for the correct installation of Roof-Solar PVC, Roof-Solar Inclined PVC, Roof-Solar TPO and Roof-Solar TPO Inclined fastening systems.

Our photovoltaic fixing systems (bitumen, PVC and TPO) for large flat roofs allow a portrait or landscape installation of your photovoltaic panels.

This technique which requires no weighting has the advantage of reducing drastically the weight applied on your roof.
