The largest photovoltaic solar power plant in Switzerland was built in 2016.

Nantes, France, 12 January 2016 / Dome Solar (www.dome-solar.com), a French SME and a manufacturer and leading company in photovoltaic solar panel mounting solutions, has achieved great success in exports. Dome Solar has been contracted to supply its products for the largest photovoltaic solar plant ever build in Switzerland, on the banks of Neuchâtel lake, in Onnens-Bonvillars.

In total, 13 roofs with a surface area of 52,000 m², equivalent to seven football pitches, will be equipped with around 35,000 solar panels. For this, and after numerous tests, the Roof-Solar Bitumen mounting system was chosen. With a 4° slope and an East-West orientation, the Dome Solar mounting system will fully optimise the installation which will have a total power of 7.136 MWp (megawatt-peak). Construction of what will be the largest photovoltaic solar power plant in Switzerland is scheduled for completion in summer 2016. Alain Fouchard, export manager of Dome Solar SAS, explains: “By bringing together all our internal skills, we have succeeded in offering our client Soléol the best mounting solution for this magnificent project. It’s a long process of mutual cooperation that has led us to be able to assert our development in exports”.
