As the Netherlands has announced the closure of all its coal-fired power plants by 2030, this is one of the countries on which Dome Solar has focused its attention. With 60% growth compared to 2016, 2017 has been a record year in terms of solar energy development. According to the national energy outlook report published last October by the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN – Energieonderzoek Centrum Nederland) in partnership with Statistics Netherlands (CBS – Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek), the Dutch market could reach a notable operational photovoltaic capacity of 6 GW by 2020. While renewable energy production currently amounts to only 6% in the Netherlands, the objectives are 14% by 2020 and 16% by 2023.
Market ambitions undoubtedly reach far beyond our borders. This is why Dome Solar will present its entire range of products for mounting photovoltaic modules on medium and large roofs at the next Solar Solutions exhibition in the Netherlands.
The company develops its own mounting systems for photovoltaic solar panels, from design to manufacturing to sales. Dome Solar offers photovoltaic solutions for all types of buildings (commercial, logistics, agricultural) and roofs (sloping, flat). France’s leading company also owns a mounting process for photovoltaic canopies.
We’ll see you on 21 and 22 March 2018 at the Expo Haarlemmermeer exhibition centre in Vijfhuizen, in the Amsterdam region. Our teams will be pleased to welcome you to stand E6!
Update January 2020: According to the photovoltaic barometer of the Eurobserv’er observatory, the second largest European market in 2018 was the Netherlands with 1.4 GW of new capacity. In 2019, “the flower shop of the world” is in third position with 2.5 GW installed. Impressive capacities for a country around 15 times smaller than France!
